Monash Shakespeare Company explores the story of the headstrong, aggressive and stubborn Katerina through the lens of second wave feminism in the 1950s, using the poorly aged aspects of the comedy as a talking point for domestic abuse, sexism and social injustice. In collaboration with the White Ribbon Foundation, $2 from every ticket will be donated to support ending domestic violence.
Evening performances run throughout the week, with a post-show Q&A with cast and crew is also available on Tuesday, August 22nd.
